A school bus crashed early this morning in Dorchester, ramming the front porch of a home on Woodrow Avenue.

None of the 17 students on the bus were injured in the crash, according to initial reports from Boston police at the scene. Details could not be immediately confirmed.

The bus crashed at about 6:30 a.m. as it was heading out of Boston to the Dover Sherborn Regional School District as a part of the METCO program.

The students ranged widely in age from elementary to high school. After the crash, several students used cellular phones to call their parents.
