Soon to be a bride?

Matthew McKenna said today that the former first daughter is not getting married to boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky on the island in August. The Globe reported in today's editions that islanders are abuzz about a possible Clinton wedding at the Chilmark home of actors Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen's home.

"She's not getting married on the Vineyard or anywhere else this summer," said McKenna. "It's absolutely not true."

The Clintons have long vacationed on the island, and President Barack Obama and his family are rumored to be spending the last two weeks of August this summer.

The Clintons' vacations brought the international spotlight and electrifying a quiet island known for long stretches of empty beaches. The normally sleepy hideaway thrummed as it was crisscrossed with motorcades and its population swelled with the arrival of White House staffers, reporters and TV correspondents, and Secret Service agents.
