Twin brothers found dead in the Fenway
Police are investigating the deaths of twin 51-year-old brothers whose bodies were discovered Monday night in an apartment in the Fenway.
Homicide investigators are trying to figure out how the brothers died. There were no obvious signs of trauma and the cause of death will be determined by autopsies, police said.
The bodies were found at 10:10 p.m. at 99 Norway St., which is between Massachusetts Avenue and the Fens. No other details were released.
The two brothers were living in the building when Mariela Rodriguez, 66, moved in three years ago. She would greet them in the hallways but did not know their names or much about them because she speaks limited English, and they did not speak Spanish.
Although Rodriguez, who lives in an apartment on the same floor, would sometimes hear them singing or playing instruments (she could not identify what they played), she never had any complaint about the noise level. They were not aggressive or problem neighbors, she said.
"They minded their own business and kept to themselves," Rodriguez said. "It surprised me to hear what happened."
