Another foggy day snarls flights at Logan

The clouds were already grazing the tips of the skyscrapers earlier today on the Charles River.
Fog and mist crept into the Boston area again today, causing problems at Logan International Airport.
Some arriving flights were delayed this afternoon by low visibility for an average of 1 hour and 12 minutes. The arrival delays could also affect departure schedules, the Federal Aviation Administration said on its website. Departure delays due to thunderstorms were also reported for flights heading to destinations such as New York, Philadelphia, and Charlotte, N.C.
Delays of more than three hours for arriving flights were reported Tuesday because of a fog bank that moved in from the ocean.
