Body of Lawrence school teacher discovered

Authorities searching Newfound Lake in Bristol, N.H. have located the body of Dennis Bistany, a 43-year-old middle school teacher from Lawrence who went missing Tuesday.
The body was found late yesterday at a depth of 135 feet and will be pulled out of the lake today.
Bistany was on a boat with his relatives, girlfriend and her two children when he jumped into the water without a lifejacket because he thought his brother-in-law was struggling and needed his help.
His brother-in-law, William J. Hardy, 50, of Salem, N.H. said he tried to
rescue Bistany but could not reach him.
