Tips for better pinball

August 8, 2009 06:26 PM

How can you improve your pinball wizardry? Two-time world champion Bowen Kerins of Salem offers some tips that will make your quarter(s) last longer.

Don’t push both flippers at the same time. This will add a new dimension to your game, allowing you to react quickly, no matter what direction the ball is coming from.

Wait to push the button. Most people just push the button when they see the ball coming, but it’s the timing of when you push the button that allows you to make shots and advance through the game.

Don’t be afraid to push the machine around. You have more control than just the flipper buttons. You have your hands to shove the machine around a bit. Tilting is part of the game.

Practice makes perfect. The more you do it, the easier it gets.
