Police arrest two in connection with death of Fitchburg man
An 18-year-old man is dead and several others injured after an incident early this morning in Fitchburg, according to a Fitchburg Police Department press release.
A juvenile male from Fitchburg is under arrest and a 21-year-old Fitchburg man is in custody on charges related to the incident.
Fitchburg Police officers and Fitchburg Fire Department emergency medical personnel responded to a report of shots fired with multiple injuries near 96 Mechanic St. at around 4:43 a.m.
The identity of the deceased man, who lived in Fitchburg, and the number of other victims and their statuses were not immediately available.
The incident is under investigation by the Fitchburg Police Department, State Police, and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
