Students receive minor injuries in Wrentham school bus crash
A school bus filled to capacity with students from the King Philip Regional School District high school and junior high school collided head-on with a one-ton dump truck at a Wrentham intersection this afternoon, Wrentham police said.
Students were treated on the scene for minor injuries, while the truck driver was transported to Norwood Hospital with unknown injuries, Police Chief James Anderson said.
Police called on the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction team to examine the accident, which happened at the intersection of Arnold and West streets. A second school bus was sent to the scene to pick up the students and bring them home, Anderson said.
