Tsongas to endorse Coakley in Senate race

US Representative Niki Tsongas, a Lowell Democrat, is endorsing the US Senate campaign of Attorney General Martha Coakley tomorrow.
Tsongas is the first congressional member to endorse someone other than their colleague in the delegation, US Representative Michael Capuano.
The endorsement is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 2:30 at the VFW Post 662 in Lowell.
Massachusetts has never elected a female US senator, and Tsongas is currently the only female member of the state's congressional delegation.
Capuano has been endorsed by four other congressional members from Massachusetts: Barney Frank, Jim McGovern, John Tierney, and Stephen Lynch.
