Explosions at Orleans septic treatment plant injures one

Several explosions inside a septic treatment facility this morning in Orleans sent one worker to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to fire officials.
Shortly after 8 a.m. "multiple explosions" were reported inside the Tri-Town Septic Treatment Facility on Overland Way, according to a statement issued by Deputy Chief Anthony Pike of the Orleans Fire Department. It was not immediately clear what caused the explosions.
A man who worked at the facility was taken to Cape Cod Hospital. The building was ventilated, and the cause of the explosions is under investigation.
