Man fatally stabbed early this morning on busy Brighton street
A 24-year-old man was stabbed and killed early this morning in front of a convenience store near a strip of bars in Brighton, Boston police said.
A police officer patrolling near Brighton and Harvard avenues -- a hot spot with college students on weekends -- found the unidentified victim about 2:16 a.m. in front of Tedeschi at 157 Brighton Ave, according to police.
The officer called for help and began CPR before emergency crews took the man to Beth Israel Hospital, where he died, police said.
Boston police are investigating the death and ask anyone with information to contact the homicide unit. No arrests have been made.
This morning’s death marks this year’s 43rd homicide in Boston, compared to 53 at this time last year, police said.
