Service has been shut down between South Acton and Fitchburg since Friday because crews are rebuilding a culvert just east of the Littleton station. The culvert collapsed Friday morning, washing out the track, MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said.
The T is offering shuttle bus service to replace the trains, while construction is underway.
Service is expected to resume Sunday afternoon, but the trains will definitely be running by Monday morning rush hour, Pesaturo said.
