Boston shootings leave one man dead

One person is dead and three others were wounded in a rash of three shootings overnight in Boston.

Boston police said a man in his 30s was shot to death inside a hallway at 31 Leyland St. in Dorchester shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities have not identified the victim. who was shot multiple times.

His death is the 14th homicide in Boston this year, compared with 12 at the same time last year.

Meanwhile, two men in their late teens were shot on Leroy Street in Dorchester shortly before 10 p.m. Police said one of the victims was found in a second-floor apartment and the other was found on the street, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both men are expected to survive.

The third shooting occurred on Shawmut Avenue in Roxbury when a man in his 40s was wounded by a gunman in a moving car while he was standing with friends on the street. He suffered a leg wound.
