Road closures for the week of March 7

Road closures and other transportation advisories for the week of March 7:

I-93 Northbound

Double left lane closure Sunday to Wednesday from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Single left lane out of the tunnel to Exit 27 Sunday and Monday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. The onramp from Leverett Circle to the Tobin Bridge via the tunnel onramp from Storrow Drive eastbound to I-93 North will be open.

Left lane closure on Exit 26 (Storrow Drive and Leverett Circle) with the Sumner Tunnel to Storrow Drive ramp closed on Sunday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Closure of the ramps from Cross Street in Boston’s North End to New Sudbury Street and from the Sumner Tunnel to I-93 on Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Right lane closure on the ramp from Cross Street in Boston’s North End to New Sudbury Street to merge with I-93 on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 a.m.

I-93 Southbound


Double right lane closure with single right lane through Dewey Square Tunnel on Sunday through Wednesday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closure on Thursday will begin one hour after the Garden event and continue through 5 a.m.

Closure of the Exit 23 ramp (Purchase Street at Congress Street) on Sunday through Thursday 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Closure of Leverett Circle onramp from Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-90 Boston Extension Eastbound


Closure of the left side of the South Boston Bypass Road and D Street ramp (I-90 Westbound) on Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Lane closures on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Closure of breakdown lane and right lane to access Everett Street Bridge from Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Lane closures on Sunday , Monday and Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-90 Boston Extension Westbound

Lane closures on Sunday to Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-90 Connector Tunnels

Left lane closure in eastbound connector from portal to portal on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Closure of HOV eastbound ramp from I-93 north ramp and Frontage Road northbound at Broadway to I-90 eastbound on Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Closure of I-93 north Exit 20 to I-90 and HOV onramp Frontage Road North at Broadway to I-90 westbound on Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Ted Williams Tunnel

Left lane closure eastbound portal to portal with right lane closure of Exit 20 (Logan Airport) on Monday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Left lane closure eastbound on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Left lane closure westbound on Monday, March 8 from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Sumner and Callahan Tunnels and ramps

Right lane closure in Callahan Tunnel on Sunday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Right lane closure in Sumner Tunnel on Sunday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Right lane closure in Sumner Tunnel along with ramps to Storrow Drive on Monday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Leverett Circle Ramps (Including CANA Tunnel and Tobin Bridge)

Left lane closure on Tobin Bridge upper deck on Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Left shoulder closure of the Rutherford Road ramp to the Tobin Bridge on Monday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Right lane closed on ramp from Tobin Bridge and Rutherford Avenue to I-93 Southbound from exit of Central Artery Northern Area Tunnel southbound to the ramp from the Tobin Bridge and Rutherford Avenue to Storrow Drive on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Charles River Basin

Right lane closure on Route 28 southbound (Msgr. O’Brien Highway) in front of Museum of Science from Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
