Service on Green Line's D service was delayed this afternoon after a large tree fell from a Newton backyard onto the line's overhead wire.
The tree fell just east of Newton Centre Station. As a result, the T has temporarily suspended Green Line service in both directions between Reservoir and Newton Highlands. Buses are replacing train service between the two stations and stops in between, the MBTA said.
The T is using buses to take Red Sox fans directly from Riverside Station to Fenway.
