Service has resumed this afternoon on the C branch of the Green Line after a large tree was cleared away from the tracks.
The tree fell on the tracks near the Brandon Street stop, damaging the wires that power the trolleys, at about 6:28 a.m. today. Service resumed at 12:20 p.m., said MBTA spokeswoman Lydia Rivera.
Bus service was offered between Coolidge Corner and Cleveland Circle while the section of track was closed.
