Traffic is flowing again on Route 128 northbound after a tractor-trailer overturned this afternoon, spilling mulch on the road and tying up traffic for several hours, State Police said.
The accident happened around 1 p.m. in Waltham, and several lanes of traffic had to be closed as officials cleaned up the scene, Trooper Thomas Murphy said. The road was reopened around 4:45 p.m., Murphy said.
"There was some traffic getting by, but there was a substantial back-up," he said.
The driver received minor injuries, Murphy said.
