A body believed to be that of a missing Lynn woman was found this morning by two fishermen near the mouth of the Merrimack River, Essex County prosecutors said today.
Marinna Khon, 22, a recent Syracuse University graduate went missing on May 25 in the sea off Newburyport when the incoming tide overpowered her and a group of her friends who were playing on a sandbar off Plum Island. Her seven friends were rescued.
The body was found by two fishermen at about 9:30 a.m., not far from where she disappeared. The fishermen called 911 and the Coast Guard launched a boat to retrieve the body.
