Road closures and other transportation advisories for the week of June 13:
Interstate 93 Northbound
Two left lanes will be closed in the tunnel from Sunday to Wednesday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Closure of the Exit 26 ramp to Storrow Drive and Leverett Circle and ramp from the Sumner Tunnel to Storrow Drive, with right lane closure in Sumner Tunnel Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Closure of the ramp from Essex St. at Lincoln St. on Sunday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Closure of the ramp from Cross St. (North End) at New Sudbury St. and the ramp from Sumner Tunnel Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Interstate 93 Southbound
Two right lanes will be closed in the southbound tunnel Monday through Thursday from 11 p.m. (or one hour after Red Sox or Garden event) to 5 a.m.
Closure of the Exit 23 ramp to Purchase St. at Congress St. Monday through Thursday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Closure of the ramp from Purchase St. at Congress St. to I-93 South and I-90 West or Albany St. via Collector Sunday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Interstate 90 Eastbound
Lane closures at various locations Sunday through Friday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Left lane closure in the Prudential Tunnel Sunday through Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., with all traffic off at Exit 22 at 11:30 p.m.
Sumner Tunnel
Closure of right lane Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Interstate 90 Connector Tunnels
Closure of the ramp from South Boston/Congress St. to I-93 and transition ramp (Exit 24) Sunday and Monday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Closure of the HOV lane eastbound from the I-93 North ramp to I-90 East and Frontage Road Northbound at Broadway to I-90 East on Tuesday from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Leverett Circle Ramps including CANA Tunnel and Tobin Bridge
Closure of the tunnel ramp from Storrow Drive East to I-93 North Monday from 12:30 a.m. to 5 a.m.
Charles River Basin
Permanent right lane closure on Route 28 Southbound (Msgr. O’Brien Highway) in front of the Museum of Science for Craigie Bridge repairs.
The work zone for the Craigie project will occupy one Boston-bound lane (inbound) of Rte. 28, reducing traffic from three to two lanes Monday through Friday from 7 a.m to 4 p.m. until further notice. Pedestrians traveling on the Boston-bound (inbound) sidewalk will be directed to travel around the work zone.
Route 128 (I-95) Waltham
Full highway detour to Exit 27A, then to Wyman St. and back on Exit 27B to allow for bridge construction Sunday through Friday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Route 128 (I-95) Northbound Wellesley-Newton
Lane closure between Exits 20 and 21 Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to allow for sound barrier construction.
Interstate 93 – Boston-Milton-Quincy
Early HOV deployment northbound and delayed HOV closure southbound Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Some delays should be expected. Southbound end time is 1 p.m. and Northbound end time is 2:30 p.m.
Route 9 Eastbound – Wellesley
Closure and detour from Grantland Road to Worcester Street Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to support construction work on the Route 16 bridge over Route 9.
Chelsea Street Bridge
The Chelsea Street Bridge over the Chelsea River connecting Chelsea and East Boston will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic Sunday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow for construction work.
Route 128 (I-95) Southbound – Weston-Wellesley-Newton
Left lane closure from Exit 26 to Exit 20 Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Route 128 - Gloucester
Temporary daily lane closures from ¼-mile east of Exit 12 (Rust Island Road) to ½-mile west of Grant Circle Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. northbound and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. southbound. The closures allow for construction work on the Route 128 bridge over the Annisquam River.
