Two motorcyclists killed in Methuen crash
Two motorcyclists were killed Tuesday night in a highway crash in Methuen, police said.
Matthew Phillips, 35, of Wilmington, was riding a motorcycle on Route 110 westbound at about 9:40 p.m. when it crossed into the eastbound lane, striking a car and then two other motorcycles.
Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene. Another motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital where he later died. The third biker had minor injuries, police said.
Witnesses told police that Phillips was speeding and driving erratically before the crash, police said.
