Man arrested in Fitchburg slaying
A 29-year-old man has been charged with the death of a 25-year-old mother of two who was found stabbed to death in her Fitchburg living room Sunday, prosecutors said today.
William A. Brown, who also lived at the Plymouth Street apartment, was arrested today in the death of Sarin Chan.
Brown is slated to be arraigned Tuesday in his hospital bed at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, where he is a patient, Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.'s office said.
Brown was found in a bathroom not far from where Chan was found, suffering from apparently self-inflicted stab wounds.
Early said Sunday that the slaying was a case of domestic violence. Prosecutors promised to reveal details of the case after the arraignment.
