One 4-year-old dead, her twin sister critical after they were pulled from Brockton pool
A 4-year-old girl has died and her twin sister is in critical condition after they were removed from a pool at a Brockton home this morning, said Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz.
Firefighters and paramedics performed CPR on the girls, who were not breathing after they were taken from the pool on Endicott Street around 10:30 a.m., according to Deputy Chief Timothy Murphy, of the Brockton Fire Department.
The children were initially taken to Brockton Hospital, according to Murphy. Cruz said the girls were then taken to a Boston hospital, although he declined to say which one.
Cruz said would not release the names of the children, or give any other details.
State Police connected to the district attorney are investigating, and no one has been charged, Cruz said.
"At this point, no one should read into anything, one way or the other, as to what happened," he said.
