Voters can now get an absentee ballot at their municipal offices to ensure their votes are counted on Election Day, Nov. 2, Secretary of State William Galvin said today.

“If you intend to vote by absentee ballot, now is the time to apply for your ballot, with the election little more than two weeks away,” Galvin said in a statement.

Galvin said voters who will cannot make it to the polling place on Nov. 2 -- they may be out of town or have a physical disability, for example -- can apply for the ballot. Overseas voters, and relatives of military personnel serving overseas, can also get the ballots.

More information is available on Galvin's website.
