Obama expected to visit Boston this month

President Obama is expected to visit Boston this month as his friend Governor Deval Patrick enters the final weeks of a close reelection race, a campaign source said today.
The visit is planned for Oct. 16. No location or schedule has been determined yet, but a fund-raising event is likely, the source said.
The Democratic incumbent, who is seeking a second term, is locked in a close race with Republican Charles D. Baker. Independent Timothy Cahill and Green-Rainbow Party candidate Jill Stein are also running.
