Driver injured in Pike truck rollover
A tractor-trailer truck rolled over on the Massachusetts Turnpike this morning in Weston, sending the driver to the hospital with minor injuries, Massachusetts State Police said.
The driver, 45-year-old Claudio Garcia of Haverhill, was traveling westbound and entering the ramp to Interchange 15 when his 2006 Mack truck rolled over at 7:30 a.m., said State Police spokesman David Procopio.
The truck rolled over on the side of the road, which meant that no lanes were blocked, said Procopio.
Since the truck was out of the way, officials waited out rush hour to begin removing it. The ramp was closed shortly after 9 a.m. to allow room for heavy equipment to right the truck, said Procopio.
Garcia was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital; no one else was hurt, he said.
The incident remains under investigation, he said.
