They'd better bundle up. New England Patriots fans will have to contend with some chilly weather as the team takes on the New York Jets tonight at Gillette Stadium.
The National Weather Service predicts a temperature of about 28 degrees falling to 27 during the game, which begins at 8:30 p.m. Gillette Stadium will be swept by a wind blowing from the west at 15 miles per hour, and that will make it feel like the temperature is 16 degrees.
Forecasters are calling for cloudy and blustery weather today with even some flurries possible. Temperatures are expected to be about 10 degrees cooler than normal for this time of year, in the low to mid-30s.
Lows are expected to drop overnight, after the game, into the lower 20s.
Dry but blustery and cold weather is expected across the area for much of the week. Rain or snow could arrive late in the week, forecasters said.
