Man killed by hit-and-run driver in Chelsea
Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run in Chelsea last night that left a Revere man dead, according to Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley's office.
Julio Vaquerano, 36, was struck by a motor vehicle near the intersection of Blossom and Maple streets just after 10 p.m., according to Conley's office.
Vaquerano's family declined comment today.
The motor vehicle had fled the scene by the time emergency services arrived, prosecutors said. Vaquerano was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he died of his injuries, prosecutors said.
The case remains under investigation.
