An 18-year-old Lynn man is due in court today, charged with detonating homemade fireworks at two locations in the North Shore city earlier this week. No one was injured, according to Lynn Police.
Lynn police arrested Mike Ranelli, 18, of 45 Piedmont St. last night, alleging he was the person seen detonating homemade fireworks outside a home on Bowler Street and was responsible for doing the same on York Road about 90 minutes later.
Ranelli is due to be arraigned in Lynn District Court today, Lynn police said.
He is charged with throwing an "explosive or destructive device or substance'' and unlawful possession of explosives or substances "that can be used to create a destructive or incendiary devices. ''
The investigation is still active and ongoing, police said.
