Windbreakers, jeans, or perhaps pair of shorts for the more adventurous, are all that marathon spectators should sport today as highs are expected to be in the mid-50s to lower 60s, according to the National Weather Service in Taunton.

Today will be breezy with mostly sunny skies this morning and increasingly cloudy skies by late afternoon. The weather service also forecasts a chance of scattered rain showers from the western part of the state to Worcester County by late afternoon.

On-and-off rain showers are expected tonight, with lows near 40 degrees. The weather service predicts scattered rain for Tuesday, particularly in the afternoon, and highs in the mid-40s.

Rain is also predicted for Wednesday, with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. A break from the cat-and-dog weather is forecast for Thursday, with sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees.
