MILFORD, Conn. (AP) — Milford police have arrested an Orange couple in connection with what they call a murder-for-hire plot.
Police say Gregory Christofakis and Ziba Guy planned to solicit the assault and murder of two people. Police did not identify who allegedly was targeted.
Christofakis was charged with criminal attempt to commit murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault. Guy was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault.
The Connecticut Post and WFSB-TV report that Christofakis has previous convictions for assault and violating restraining orders.
Both were held on bond. It was not known Friday morning if either is represented by a lawyer.
