NEWBURGH, N.Y. (AP) — A search of the Hudson River has failed to turn up the rifle prosecutors say a New York woman used to kill her ex-boyfriend before stabbing his girlfriend to death in New Jersey.
The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports (http://bit.ly/YWEwU5 ) that state police divers spent seven hours Thursday searching the shoreline in the city of Newburgh.
Prosecutors in Bergen County, N.J., say 49-year-old Monica Moog used a rifle to kill 52-year-old Arthur Noeldechan of Washingtonville, N.Y., at Jung Yi Kim’s home in River Edge, N.J. on Oct. 30, then used a knife to kill the 42-year-old Kim.
Their bodies were found the next day. Moog was later arrested in Rocky Hill. Conn. She’s charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Moog is expected to make her first court appearance Friday in Bergen County.
