NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) — New London police say a 26-year-old city woman was driving drunk with a 5-year-old child in her car when she crashed into another vehicle.
Police say they arrested Kelsey Wolfe shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday while responding to the accident at Bank Street and Montauk Avenue. Officers say Wolfe’s blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit of 0.08.
No one was injured in the accident.
Wolfe was charged with drunken driving, following too closely and risk of injury to a minor.
Wolfe couldn’t be reached for comment Sunday. There’s no phone listing for her and it’s not clear if she has a lawyer.
The relationship between Wolfe and the child wasn’t released. The state Department of Children and Families was notified.
