WEST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Fire officials say the roof of a two-story building has partly collapsed in West Haven.
The New Haven Register reports (bit.ly/MdVAT5 ) that the building, which formerly housed a bait and tackle shop, was not occupied when the cave-in happened Wednesday evening. Fire Dept. Capt. Bill Stacy says no one is believed to have been injured.
Stacy says the facade of the wood frame building remains in place, but the sides have bowed out and the roof is partially collapsed.
