NEW HAVEN, Conn.—New Haven police say a 55-year-old woman is recovering after being beaten with a baseball bat and tied up during a home invasion and burglary.

Police say Julia O'Sullivan had head injuries and both her hands were broken when she was attacked, but she has been discharged from the hospital.

Police have arrested a 17-year-old and are looking for two other suspects who are believed to have assaulted the woman on Tuesday night.

Police say three burglars came in through a back door of a home on Loomis Place. After taking several items then beating the woman, police say the burglars stole the victim's car and fled.
