Montville man arrested in second sexual assault case
PORTLAND, Conn.—A 37-year-old Uncasville man already in custody accused of sexually assaulting three boys in Danielson is facing new sexual assault charges in Portland.
Thirty-seven-year-old Robert Schleich (SHLIKE') had been arrested by state police in January in the Danielson case and has now been charged with sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl in Portland.
Portland police say Schleich had been working as a handyman at a Portland home and lived in the home in exchange for repair work.
Police say after Schleich was arrested by state police at the Portland home the mother suspected her daughter might have been a victim while Schleich lived in the home.
Schleich is being held at the Corrigan Correction Center in Uncasville.
