HARTFORD, Conn.—Registering vehicles on line is popular in Connecticut.

Governor M. Jodi Rell says the program is about to hit 100,000 completed online registration transactions nearly one year after the state Department of Motor Vehicles launched its Internet registration renewal program.

The Department of Motor Vehicles says it has not received any major complaints about using the program or reports of people having trouble using it.

The service is available only to vehicle owners who have passenger registrations without delinquent property taxes or parking tickets.

The owners also must have the state-required insurance coverage and emissions test. And those with suspended registrations will not be renewed.
