Prison term for Griswold man in child porn case
HARTFORD, Conn. --A federal judge has sentenced a 29-year-old Griswold man to 46 months in prison on charges downloading and possessing child pornography.
Jared Harris, son of former Mohegan Tribal Chairman Roland Harris, was sentenced Thursday in U.S District Court in Hartford.
Harris is to serve 10 years of supervised release after he serves his prison term.
Prosecutors say Harris was caught in an FBI online sting involving the use of Limewire, a file sharing program. Authorities say Harris used the program to share and save child pornography.
Two years ago, agents raided his Griswold home and seized two computers, finding hundreds of images and videos of child pornography.
