BOCA RATON, Fla.—Florida authorities say the credit card of a woman killed in a still-unsolved shopping mall murder in Boca Raton was being used as recently as last month in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's investigators are trying to identify two men who charged about $1,000 to the card number in the two New England states. They aren't yet sure if the men were involved in Randi Gorenberg's murder.
The 52-year-old was killed in 2007 after leaving the mall, one of a handful of violent crimes that sparked fear and confusion in the upscale shopping area.
Investigators say the Aug. 12 purchases on Gorenberg's credit card marked its first use since she was killed. The men bought fast food and video game equipment.![]()
