GREENWICH, Conn.—Connecticut authorities say a Norwalk man wanted on allegations he stole identities and illegally used credit cards has been returned to the state after being caught in Las Vegas.

Twenty-six-year-old Eric Christian was arraigned Wednesday in Stamford Superior Court on a list of charges including identity theft, larceny, illegal use of credit cards and criminal impersonation.

Las Vegas police arrested Christian on July 8 after receiving a tip from Norwalk police. He had been under investigation by Greenwich police and a state financial crimes task force.

Police say Christian defrauded an 88-year-old Greenwich resident and several financial institutions.

Court records say Christian posted $200,000 bail. His lawyer didn't immediately return a message Thursday.
