HARTFORD
University officials say counselors will be available all week at Central Connecticut State University. Classes resumed for the spring semester yesterday just two days after two students were killed in a car crash. Police said Brittany Mariani, 24, of Ludlow, Mass., and her boyfriend, Rich Royster, 20, of Ossining, N.Y., died when their car struck the back of a tractor-trailer stopped on Charter Oak Bridge in Hartford just before 5 a.m. Saturday. Royster was a defensive lineman on the school’s football team. University officials said a memorial service is being planned.![]()
