NEW BRITAIN, Conn.—New Britain police say they are investigating the shooting death of a city resident.
Capt. James Wardwell says the 22-year-old victim was shot near LaSalle and Wilcox streets, and that someone in a private vehicle dropped him off around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Hospital of Central Connecticut.
The man was pronounced dead a short time later.
His identity had not been released later Sunday morning and the incident remained under investigation. No arrests had been made.
