FAIRFIELD, Conn.—Police say a State Trooper has been injured at a highway construction site on the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield.
The Hartford Courant reports ( http://cour.at/oq4QbW) that State Police say a vehicle driven by Gino Restaini of Wilton struck a cruiser driven by Trooper Benedict Liberator as the officer pulled into the right lane.
Trooper Liberator and Restaini were taken to St. Vincent's Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
State Police are investigating.![]()
