NEW LONDON, Conn.—A New London Superior Court judge has dismissed charges against a Norwich woman accused of hiring men to rob and shoot her estranged husband in a 2009 home invasion.

The Norwich Bulletin reports ( that Assistant State's Attorney Paul Narducci said prosecutors could not prove their case against Yesenia Tondre beyond a reasonable doubt.

Tondre had told police she was yanked from the bed by her hair and had a gun held to her head. Her arrest was based on evidence that pointed to her as the mastermind of a staged home invasion.

Tondre said outside the courtroom that the arrest was a mistake.

She faced charges of accessory to home invasion, accessory to first-degree assault, accessory to first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault.
