Court reviews limits on teeth-whitening
Connecticut rules permit dentists, block salons
A lawsuit filed yesterday seeks to block Connecticut’s rules that only a dentist can provide certain teeth-whitening services. The Institute for Justice sued in US District Court in Hartford to block the dental regulations. The Arlington, Va.-based law firm said the state Dental Commission’s regulations promote a monopoly for dentists by banning certain teeth whitening at salons and shopping malls.
