NEW LONDON, Conn.—Jury selection could start this month for a Connecticut man accused of strangling a woman and dumping her body on a Norwich roadside in 1998.

The Norwich Bulletin reports ( http://bit.ly/tdjqy8) that 41-year-old Dickie Anderson's attorney has requested a speedy trial in his case, in which Anderson is charged with murder in the death of Michelle Comeau.

Anderson was already jailed awaiting trial on charges connected with the June strangulation of 41-year-old Renee Pellegrino when he was charged last summer in Comeau's 1998 death.

Anderson's lawyer says he is innocent and wants to go to trial in the case, which is based partly on a fellow prisoner's allegations that Anderson mentioned dumping a body in the region.

The Bulletin reports that no DNA evidence has been offered linking Anderson to Comeau.
