Info sessions wrapping up for Conn. business help
HARTFORD, Conn.—State officials are urging small businesses to sign up to learn more about Connecticut's new programs to help businesses, included in the jobs legislation recently passed by the General Assembly.
The final three informational sessions are scheduled for Jan. 5 in Bridgeport, Jan. 9 in Meriden and Jan. 12 in Danbury.
The Department of Economic and Community Development is also holding two webinars on Jan. 18 and Jan. 19 for those who cannot attend the workshops.
Under the new legislation, small business owners can seek loans and grants and receive tax credits for new hires.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said the informational sessions allow people to meet with state officials, ask questions and fill out their applications on the spot. Registration information is available on the DECD website.![]()
