ENFIELD, Conn.—Enfield police have arrested a suspect accused of leaving the scene of a deadly accident. Police Chief Carl Sferrazza says more charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Kyle Berry of Enfield was arrested and charged with evading responsibility for leaving the scene.

Police say 57-year-old Michael Kennedy and 34-year-old Colleen Caruso, both of East Windsor, died after their car and the pickup collided on Route 191 at about 1 a.m. Tuesday. Two other people in the car, 32-year-old Glen McIntyre of East Windsor and 31-year-old Joanna Olden of Enfield, are hospitalized.

Police say McIntyre was driving the car, which hit a tree and flipped over.

Sferrazza said the pickup driver rammed the car from behind and fled.

It was not known if the 46-year-old Berry is represented by a lawyer.
