LITCHFIELD, Conn.—A former Watertown man is facing sentencing for the 2008 killing of a motorcycle club leader in Torrington.

A Litchfield Superior Court judge is scheduled to sentence 56-year-old Kevin Campbell to 25 to 60 years in prison on Tuesday. A jury convicted Campbell of murder in January in the shooting death of 51-year-old Roland Lagasse outside the headquarters of the Forbidden Motorcycle Club.

Witnesses said Lagasse got into a fight with Campbell's brother about whether a new club member should receive his first-year patch. Campbell testified that he pulled a gun on Lagasse in self-defense and it fired by accident, but jurors said they didn't believe that story.

It was the second trial for Campbell, whose first trial ended with a hung jury.
