Conn. man on motorcycle dies in NH collision

DUMMER, N.H.—A Connecticut man has died in a traffic accident in New Hampshire after his motorcycle was hit by a car that had crossed into his lane.
New Hampshire State Police said 60-year-old Thomas Zappulla of Torrington, Conn., died in the accident Friday afternoon on Route 16 in Dummer. Police said the car was heading north and crossed the center line into the southbound lane, striking the motorcycle. Zappulla was thrown off the bike.
The driver of the car -- 25-year-old Ashley Bailey of Jay, Maine -- was taken to Androscoggin Valley Hospital. State police said she was being treated for serious injuries but was in stable condition. One of three others in the car was treated for minor injuries.![]()
