3 accused of Staples toner cartridge thefts in NH
FRANKLIN, N.H.—Three men arrested in New Hampshire are accused of taking printer-toner cartridges from Staples office-supply stores.
Tilton Police Chief Bob Cormier said they are accused of targeting stores mostly in New England. They were arrested last week, where they allegedly stole cartridges from stores in Nashua, Bedford and Manchester. They were spotted at a Concord Staples before being arrested at one in Franklin.
The men, from Brooklyn, N.Y., were arraigned Monday. They are 27-year-old Ronnell Samuels, 24-year-ol Daquain Dollar and 20-year-old Kashif Trumaine. The highest was set for Dollar at $100,000. Police said he had bags lined with foil designed to keep scanners from detecting the stolen merchandise.
WMUR-TV reports (http://bit.ly/LfBTcA) Samuels' mother told the judge the arrest was a mistake; Louissaint said he was not involved.
